Good bye 2009!!!

Hi everyone
What an incredible year. What a blessed year. What a fantastic year!!!

I want to start be thanking my wonderful God. Nothing is impossible. I know that now....

Second my husband....you are everything to me.

Thirdly my son.....you are my inspiration.

After editing over 60 000 photos this year, I am looking forward to join my husband and son (allready away on holiday...) for a little break of 10 days.  Definitely looking forward to getting more than four hours sleep in one night. I'm going to switch off the blackberry, kick off my shoes and relax before the big 2010.
Thank you all who supported me through 2009: I enjoyed every second. Even the difficult times: I believe that even through difficult times we grow and learn.

Bester en Melanie: Pregnancy shoot

Melanie is nog 'n persoon wat ek laas op Universiteit gesien het! Ons was saam in die koshuis en het weer na al die jare kontak gemaak. Dit was so lekker om jou te sien Melanie: soveel great memories van Eikenhof!!! Sterkte met die laaste tydjie wat voorle en ek sien julle weer in 2010 met 'n kleine bondeltjie...

Barto, Lucille and Sawyer

I've known Lucille since varsity, but have lost touch with her after graduating. Through facebook (and the beautiful pictures she takes....) we've made contact again. Barto and Lucille live in Turkey, and in the past couple of years they've stayed in interesting places like Thailand and Vietnam. It was so nice seeing you again after all these years, and thank you so much for my beautiful present!

Raphael, Unati and Ola

This beautiful energetic in-love couple is only in Cape Town for a while, and on the 2nd of Jan they are leaving for Canada.Unati is a medical Docter and husband Raphael is an artist. Good luck with all your plans overseas, and I truly hope you will return oneday to South Africa.

Bjorn, Zanda and Lea: newborn

This is what I call 'priceless'. Zanda contacted me before Lea was born, and we scheduled the photo-session as soon as possible after birth. Little Lea is only 8 days old and so small! We did this session at their home in Panorama. Baie geluk met die die geboorte en mag sy vir julle oneindige vreugde verskaf. Sien julle weer oor 'n paar maande as sy groter is!

Crazy end-of-year-time!

Hi you all!

Work has just spiraled  and snowballed into craziness the past couple of months. I know a lot of you are waiting for your previews on the blog, but me-ask-you pleaaaze a bit of patience.  With another 21 photo shoots,  4 weddings and two graphic design projects still to come! in the next two weeks, I work till the early hours of the morning to try and get through all the editing. So I edit, load and print round the clock and will be finished before I close doors the 24th.

A very special event for a very special person

I felt truly honored when Antoinette's family asked me to be the photographer at Antoinette Van Zyl's 60th birthday function. Antoinette is the owner of To-Nett's Florist in Paarl and a true icon. She, together with her team of workers, creates dream functions en fairytale weddings, and for this special night all glasses were raised to this wonderful woman. Baie geluk Antoinette. Jy het waarlik 'n familie om op trots te wees, en hulle het waarlik 'n moeder om op trots te wees!

Franschhoek Wedding photography: Clive and Surlize

Clive and Surlize got married on a cold, windy and rainy day... but fearless photographer Estie Thirion and my very helpful assistant pushed on and through the storm and (sometimes rough) fields. Thanks for the help with carrying Surlize to all my desired photo spots!  Well, a bit of endurance produced the result, just in time before the rain poured down and the party began at De Hollansche Molen.
